Minister Pham Hong Ha receives Deputy Minister of MLIT

Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha had a reception the Japan MLIT delegation led by Deputy Minister Tsukasa AKIMOTO on August, 10th at MoC’s headquarter. There were the second secretary of the Embassy of Japan to Vietnam – Mr Kudo Talwaya and leaders of functional departments and agencies of both sides at the reception.

At the meeting, Minister Pham Hong Ha expressed his pleasure to welcome Deputy Minister Tsukasa AKIMOTO working and visiting the MoC. Minister Pham Hong Ha said that the visit of the Deputy Minister AKIMOTO showed to determination of both countries in expanding cooperation agencies, ministries and branches between Vietnam and Japan. On the visiting and working trip to Japan of The Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang in late May/ 2018, The MoC has inked with the MLIT MoU in the field of construction and urban development with 09 important content.

On the MoC side, Minister Pham Hong Ha affirmed to always support and create favourable conditions for Japaness businesses operating in Vietnam in the field of construction in general and investment in urban development in particular. The urban ecological project in Nhat Tan – Noi Bai area with size and location sililar to the smart city project invested by 4 Vietnamese investors and 1 Japanese investor (Sumitomo) is the part of the urban ecological development research in Vietnam which has actively supported by the Vietnamese MoC.

The MoC sent a delegation to attend the Establishment of the Asia Wastewater Management Partnership in Kyushu, Japan (July/2018) which to launched the Japan Initiative towards UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Deputy Minister Tsukasa AKIMOTO expressed his sincere thanks to the warm welcome of leaders of the MOC and affirmed that Japan would support Vietnam side in drainage and wastewater treatment.
