PM Nguyen Tan Dung has issued Dispatch No.417/CD-TTg on steering rescue work in the scaffolding collapse at a construction site in the Vung Ang Economic Zone in central Ha Tinh province.
PM Dung conveyed deep condolences to families of the victims and asked the Ha Tinh provincial People’s Committee to step up the search for those still trapped under the rubble, ensure safety for rescue forces, visit and ecnourage the injured and coordinate with local authorities to organise funerals for the victims.
He also required the People’s Committee to steer relevant agencies to investigate the cause of the scaffolding collapse and punish strictly violations in accordance with legal regulations.
The National Committee for Search and Rescue, Ministries of National Defence, Public Security, Health, Industry and Trade were assigned to work with the People’s Committee in steering rescue work and ensuring security and order at the site.
Earlier, Deputy PM Hoang Trung Hai shortened his working visit to Quang Ngai province to directly steer the rescue work at the site.
On March 25, a scaffolding collapse at the construction site of Son Duong port in Vung Ang Economic Zone occurred, killing and injuring many workers.
