On March 17, in Ha Noi, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tran Nam had a meeting with business delegation of the US - Asean Business Council on construction cooperation opportunities in Viet Nam.

According to the Chief Representative of the US - Asean Business Council, the organization was founded for 40 years representing the interests of American business in Asia. During this trip, the American business interested in the potential opportunities and challenges when investing in Viet Nam.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Tran Nam noticed that at present in Viet Nam, there are still many difficulties, the Government and the Ministry of Construction (MOC) are building towards macroeconomic environment, favorable environment business welcoming foreign investment inflows, especially from American business. The sectors which two sides can cooperate including urban development, wastewater treatment, waste collection. The challenges for Viet Nam are the limited resource, methods and technologies.
At the meeting, the Chief Representative of the US - Asean Business Council introduced to the Deputy Minister and leaders of Departments, Institutes of the MOC on the most advanced technologies can be applied in Viet Nam and appreciated the potential possibilities of cooperation between the two sides in the future.
