On 11 July, Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Pham Khanh received the delegation of Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan (MLIT) lead by Mr. Makio Shichijo, Policy Bureau of MLIT.
In recent years, the cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Japan is the strategic partnership of development in all fields of politics, economy, culture, trade and investment. In the construction sector, the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and MLIT of Japan has cooperated in a comprehensive and effective way.
In order to efficiently exploit the technical construction infrastructure, the relevant agencies of the Ministry of Construction has actively developed and promulgated many regulations, standards and the Construction Law 2014 approved by the National Assembly.
The Ministry of Construction had formed legal documents to submit to the competent authorities for promulgation. However, these are still incompleted and imperfect, therefore the cooperation and exchange of experience with Japan in the field of construction is very important.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Pham Khanh expressed the hope of Japanese support and help in inovating the model of project management board in accordance with the Construction Law 2014 and proposing to train the human resource for construction project implemenation. On this occasion, Deputy Minister Bui Pham Khanh gifted MLIT delegationof the Construction Law Book which just has been issued.
On behalf of MLIT, Mr. Makio Shichijo thanked the appreciation of Vietnam to Japan and confirmed that the Japanese side commits to continue implementing the agreed contents, in which including human resource training, experience exchange in project management.
Mr. Makio Shichijo conveyed the suggestion of MLIT leaders to tighten the cooperation with the Ministry of Construction via organizing regular high-level talks and meetings between the two sides, especially in the occasion of Nhat Tan Bridge ceremony in the coming time to affirm strongly the cooperation symbol between the Government and the people of the two countries.
