The 40th meeting of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee was held via teleconference on December 20^th. Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Co-Chairman of Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee and Cuban Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment Rodrigo Malmierca Diaz, Co-Chairman of Cuba - Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee, co-chaired the meeting.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Tuong Van had a meeting with Counselor of the Danish Embassy Troels Jakobsens and Vice Chairman of LEGO Group cum General Director of LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd Preben Elnef on December 19^th, 2022, at the Ministry of Construction’s headquarter.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi received and worked with new Korean ambassador to Vietnam, Ms. Oh Young Ju on December 16^th at the MoC’s headquarter, in presence of leaders of functional departments and agencies under MoC; representatives of  Korean construction management units and typical contruction businesses in Vietnam.

On November 23-25, 2022, National Assembly (NA) Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue led a high-ranking delegation to pay an official visit to the Republic of the Philippines. This is the first visit to the Philippines by our country's leader in 2022 and by the Chairman of Vietnam National Assembly after 16 years. The visit reflected Vietnam’s respect for the new leadership of the Philippines and the countries’ strategic partnership, especially after they celebrated the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2021 (July 12). It is also a vivid demonstration of the traditional and sound friendship between the two nations, including their legislative bodies, helping strengthen political trust and promote bilateral cooperation in different fields of economy, trade - investment, health care, education - training, and defense - security.

Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung worked with a delegation of experts from the United Nations Human Settlement Program (UN-Habitat) in areas of mutual interest, including urban development issue on November 8^th.

Ministry of Construction in cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to organize a workshop “Management improvement in smart and efficient urban lighting in Vietnam” with the participation of ministries, localities, enterprises, domestic and international experts on November 7^th.

The Ministry of Construction cooperated with the Center for Urban and Industrial Environment - Vietnam Association of Built Environment and Panasonic Corporation to organize a workshop “Solution to design, install and use equipment to ensure indoor air quality in buildings” in presence of representatives of state management agencies, enterprises, experts and consultants on November 2^nd. Deputy Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment Nguyen Cong Thinh chaired the workshop.

The 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Algeria (October 28,1962 - October 28, 2022) took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Construction on 27^th October in presence of Deputy Minister of Construction Le Quang Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam - Algeria Friendship Association; Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga - Chairman of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria to Vietnam Abdelhamid Boubazine and his wife; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Palestine in Vietnam Saadi Salama, Head of the Diplomatic Delegation in Vietnam; representatives of embassies of some countries in Vietnam; leaders of Central Ministries and sectors and Vietnamese experts who have worked in Algeria.

From October 17 to October 22, 2022, the delegation of units under the Ministry of Construction had a study program and a workshop to exchange experiences in Korea on smart cities.
