On January 22nd, 2025, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Construction held a ceremony to award the Medal for the Cause of Construction to Mr. Hwang SungKwan - a seconded expert of the Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) at the Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management, Ministry of Construction. There were leaders of the Department of International Cooperation, Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management, and representatives of the Korean Embassy to Vietnam at the ceremony.
Director Nguyen Trung Thanh Thanh awarded the Medal for the Cause of Construction to Mr. Hwang SungKwan.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Ministry of Construction, Director of the Department of International Cooperation Nguyen Trung Thanh assessed that during his 5 years working in Vietnam (from February 2020 to January 2025), as a seconded expert of LH Group at the Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management, Mr. Hwang SungKwan had contributed to effectively promoting cooperation activities in the construction field between the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and LH Group, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea (MOLIT) and many related agencies and organizations of Korea.
Mr. Hwang SungKwan actively shared Korea's experience in housing management and real estate market for the Ministry of Construction in order to amend the Housing Law (amended), the Real Estate Business Law (amended) in 2023 and the accompanying Decrees and Circulars; connected and coordinated to develop working programs for working delegations at all levels of the Ministry of Construction and MOLIT; coordinated to develop a draft Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation/Action Plan between the Ministry of Construction and MOLIT and LH Group on housing and urban development; closely coordinated in the negotiation process and requested approval of the Technical Assistance Project "Vietnam - Korea Center for Smart Cities and Construction Technology"...
Director Nguyen Trung Thanh acknowledged and highly appreciated the important achievements, contributions and effective cooperation of Mr. Hwang SungKwan during his time working at the Ministry of Construction, contributing to promoting and developing the strategic cooperative partnership between Korea and Vietnam in political and economic aspects in general and the relationship between the construction sectors of the two countries in particular.

Mr. Hwang SungKwan expressed his joy to receive the Medal for the Cause of Construction by the Ministry of Construction - the most noble award of the Vietnamese Construction industry, and thanked the leaders of the Ministry of Construction, the Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management, and the Department of International Cooperation for their attention and coordination, creating favorable conditions for him to successfully complete his tasks during his time working at the Ministry of Construction. He also affirmed that no matter what position he holds, he will pay attention to promoting the cooperative relationship between the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction and Korean agencies and partners.
