Minister Pham Hong Ha received new Korean Ambassador to Vietnam

Minister Pham Hong Ha met and worked with the new Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Park Noh Wan and the Korean Embassy Counselors to Vietnam on February 14th, at the MoC’s headquarters.

Minister Pham Hong Ha and new Ambassador Park Noh Wan highly appreciated the positive results in the comprehensive cooperation relationship between Vietnam and Korea in recent years.

Mr Park Noh Wan highly appreciated the role of the Ministry of Construction in developing smart cities in Vietnam. South Korea has experienced in smart cities development and hoped to cooperation and support Vietnam in developing smart cities, social housing in the future. Currently, South Korea is supporting Vietnam in developing smart cities in some central provinces, including social housing development. 

Minister Pham Hong Ha congratulated Mr Park Noh Wan as the new Korean Ambassador to Vietnam, and thanked the Korean Government, the Korean Ambassador, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Korea (Ministry of MOLIT) and Korean organizations and businesses for paying attention and helping the MoC to best fulfill its functions and tasks, through activities of exchanging experts and delegations, assisting the Ministry of Construction in perfecting the system of legal policies such as policies on social housing, urban infrastructure and smart cities. 

Minister Pham Hong Ha agreed with the proposals of the new Ambassador Park Noh Wan to further strengthen cooperation between the Ministry of Construction and Korean Government agencies, Korean organizations and businesses, especially in developing smart cities and social housing.

In 2020, Vietnam will assume the role of ASEAN Chairman and host the ASEAN Smart Cities Network Meeting and partners, including Korea. Therefore, Minister Pham Hong Ha hoped that Korea would effectively promote its role as an important leading partner of ASEAN countries on smart cities at the Conference.

Minister Pham Hong Ha believed that Mr Park Noh Wan with his experiences and dedication would fulfill the tasks assigned during his working term in Vietnam.
