Minister Pham Hong Ha receives Germany Ambassador in Vietnam

At the meeting, Ambassador Christian Berger thanked Mr Ha and his staffs for their warmly welcome, and shared his feeling and exiting experiences during the first 6 months working period at the Germany Embassy in Vietnam. Mr Berger also desired to explore MoC’s operating fields as well as potential cooperation between MoC and Germany partners.

Mr Ha warmly welcomed Mr Berger for his first time Vietnamese MoC visit and wished him good health and fulfilling working term in Vietnam.

On his side, Mr Ha expressed nice cooperation tie between Germany and Vietnam in recent years, including advancements in the cooperation tie between the MoC and Germany Government with positively contribution from the Germany Embassy in Vietnam.

Mr Ha highlighted some fields that MoC strongly focused on such as building hamonious, sustainable, environmentally friendly and identity urban system; innovation in institutional construction management with prioritizing changing in regulation system, technical standard, economic and technical norms to improve the efficiency of social investment; construction workforce development; surmounting imbalance levels of education and focusing on training high skilled technical workers; social housing development.

Mr Ha highly appreciated Germany Government’s efficient assistance and cooperation in a number of specific cooperation projects in the fields of water supply and drainage, solid waste treatment, waste water treatment and training of Vietnam’s water sector workforce .

At the working session, Mr Ha and Mr Berger exchanged specific tasks relating to the application of the Germany Housing Construction Saving Bank model, the Project Metro Line No.2 in Ho Chi Minh city…
