This was the statement of Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dung - Chairman of Vietnam-Algeria Inter-governmental Commission at the meeting of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Algeria - Mr. Mohamed Berrah on May 15.

At the meeting, Minister Trinh Dinh Dung expressed his pleasure at the strong development of friendly relation and cooperation in the field of politics, economy, culture and education between the two countries. The progress achieved on trade cooperation, oil and gas, information - communication, agriculture, aquaculture products between the two countries in recent years are noticeable and should be further promoted. The Ministry of Construction is very eager to work with the ministries and organizations of Algeria related to the construction and infrastructure.
Ambassador Mohamed Berrah also expressed his thanks and agreed with the opinion of Minister Trinh Dinh Dung on both sides should put more efforts in promoting economic - trade cooperation as well as the potential bilateral cooperation. At the same time, he appreciated the important role of Vietnam-Algeria Inter-governmental Committee and considered it as the positive factor in boosting cooperation between the two countries.
Discussing about the reconstruction program of Algeria, Ambassador Mohamed Berrah also suggested the Government of Vietnam and the Ministry of Construction and businesses should closely associate with the Government of Algeria in the field of housing construction and infrastructure.
