On June 13, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Tran Nam had a working section with NEDO, Japan lead by Mr. Ichiro Tsubota, Head of Energy Saving Technology Department on a project using environmental friendly science technologies in waste treatment.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyen Tran Nam has responded the concerns of NEDO on issues related to the project such as resources for waste treatment plant and waste disposal costs as well as the difficulties that may arise in the course of transportation of waste from Ha Noi to But Son Cement Plant, Ha Nam Province (where the project is implementing).
Mr. Ichiro Tsubota expressed his wish to implement the exchange step, the next working between the Ministry of Construction and NEDO and proceed to sign the MOU between the two parties to implement the project at the soonest. He believed the project will bring practical results for Viet Nam, especially Ha Noi and Ha Nam with the environmentally friendly technologies.
This project will be applied by waste disposal incinerator using Japanese modern technology which was being widely applied in Japan, China ... When the project is deployed in Viet Nam, it will contribute to reduce the waste at landfill as well as limit the use of land for dumping.
