On September 4th, Party Central Committee member and Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi led a delegation to visit and work in the Czech Republic to exchange experiences in law-making in the fields of urban planning, construction and architecture. The visit also contributed to deepening the relationship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, towards the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi highlighted the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, especially as the two countries will celebrate the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025, expressing a hope that the two sides will enhance experience sharing in urban space planning, urban management, and housing development.
He expected that the Czech Republic, through its actual experience in the field, would share its experience in urban planning management for specific areas; supervision of planning implementation plans, controlling urban architecture, urban planning implementation plans and the organization of decentralization and delegation in urban planning...

In addition, the two sides exchanged information on the coordination between local authorities and national agencies in managing urban planning in accordance with national orientations and strategies, establishment and management urban and rural planning, and the delimitation of locations and role of planning types.
During the working session, the Czech Republic's Deputy Minister of Regional Development Radim Srsen exchanged some experiences in urban planning management, planning implementation at national, provincial and district levels, etc., and management and policies on housing development for low-income earners in the Czech Republic. He suggested that the two sides would increase cooperation and exchange in the fields of urban planning, architecture, and housing development for low-income earners through meetings. He also hoped for increased activities to further deepen the traditional friendship and cooperative relations between Vietnam and the Czech Republic in the lead up to the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations in 2025.

On the same afternoon, the delegation visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic. At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam expressed his joy and shared information on cooperation in a number of areas between the two countries with the delegation. The Ambassador said that the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic currently has about 100,000 people, always actively participates and contributes to the common development in the host country as well as in the homeland of Vietnam; plays the important role as a bridge contributing to promoting the traditional friendship between the two countries.
Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi expressed his delight at the strong development in all fields of Vietnam - Czech Republic, the growth of the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic. Minister believed that the staff members of the Embassy would continue to make efforts, overcome difficulties to perform well in foreign affairs, make positive contributions to common development, cooperation in many fields, contributing to deepening and promoting the relationship between the two countries to a new height.
