The award honors companies considered role models for sustainable development in the transportation sector with long-term strategies, practical actions, and positive contributions to the community, according to global ESG (environmental, social, and governance) standards. Vietjet was the only foreign enterprise to be honored at the event.

At the same time, Vietjet organized a ceremony celebrating 11 years of flights to Taiwan, expressing gratitude to passengers and partners who have contributed to the airline’s success. Since its first Ho Chi Minh City-Taipei flight on December 12th, 2014, Vietjet has transported nearly 5.6 million passengers on direct routes connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Phu Quoc with Taiwan’s largest cities, including Taipei, Taichung, and Kaohsiung.

Earlier, Vietjet became the first Vietnamese airline to publish an ESG report, contributing to the journey of realizing Vietnam’s net-zero commitments to the international community. With these persistent efforts, Vietjet has been honored by Airline Ratings with the Sustainable Development Award, recognizing it as one of seven airlines worldwide.
