On November 19th, 2025, in the capital city of Algiers, within the framework of the official visit to the Democratic Republic of Algeria by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Vietnamese Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh represented Vietnam in signing two important cooperation documents. This event created new momentum for bilateral economic, scientific and technical relations, while promoting in-depth cooperation in construction and urban planning.

Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh and Minister of Industry of Algeria signed the Minutes of the 13th Session of the Vietnam - Algeria Intergovernmental Committee.
Two important documents were signed, including:
The Minutes of the 13th Session of the Vietnam–Algeria Intergovernmental Committee: This document serves as the foundation and guiding framework for bilateral cooperation for the 2025–2027 period, ensuring active coordination among ministries and agencies and contributing to the substantive outcomes of the visit.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and the Ministry of Housing, Urban Planning and the City of Algeria: This MOU is an important basis for promoting sectoral cooperation through key activities such as exchanging experience on housing policy and development models; providing technical assistance and sharing expertise in formulating and managing sustainable urban planning adapted to climate change; and fostering research and the transfer of new technologies in construction and environmentally friendly materials.
