The report assessing the social housing development situation in the first 7 months of 2025 by the Ministry of Construction shows that the whole country has 692 social housing projects being implemented with a scale of 633,559 units.
Many localities have implemented more than 50% of the progress of the social housing target set.
Of which, 146 projects have been completed, with a scale of 103,717 units; 124 projects have started construction, are being implemented with a scale of 111,622 units; 422 projects have been approved for investment policy, with a scale of 418,220 units.
Compared to the target set in the Project on investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the 2021-2030 period, the number of completed, started, and approved projects by 2025 reached 59.6%.
Specifically, as of July 15, the whole country has completed 36,962/100,275 apartments, reaching 37% of the annual plan; 111,622 apartments are being invested in, of which the possibility of completion in 2025 is 74,021/100,275 apartments, reaching about 74% of the plan; has started 27 projects with a scale of 24,232 apartments, equivalent to 95.4% of the number of apartments started in 2024.
Also according to the Ministry of Construction, localities with the ability to complete over 50% of the social housing construction target are Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, An Giang, Ca Mau.
