The Prime Minister has recently signed a decision approving the establishment of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone, covering an area of approximately 1,881 hectares.

The Da Nang Free Trade Zone comprises several functional areas, including manufacturing and logistics; trade and services; digital technology, information technology, and innovation; as well as other functional zones as defined by law.
The zone is divided into seven functional areas located within Lien Chieu District and Hoa Vang District.
Planned and developed with modern infrastructure, the Da Nang Free Trade Zone is designed to become a regional economic hub and a strategic growth driver for central Viet Nam and the nation as a whole.
In the long term, the objective is to position the Da Nang Free Trade Zone as a key link in the global and Asia-Pacific supply chain network, serving as a manufacturing base and international cargo transhipment hub, connected to Lien Chieu Port, Da Nang International Airport, and the East-West Economic Corridor.
The development of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone is closely aligned with the establishment of an international financial centre in the city, forming a modern and intelligent economic ecosystem with high competitiveness.
This ecosystem is expected to generate strong spillover effects, thereby contributing to enhancing Viet Nam's regional and international standing in an increasingly globalised world.
