Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi asked the Dominican Government to create favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to carry out civil works, industrial works and energy works in Dominica.
At the meeting between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the President of the Dominican Republic, Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi spoke about promoting cooperation between Vietnam and the Dominican Republic in the construction sector.

According to the Minister of Construction, Vietnam desired to promote cooperation between the two countries in the field of construction materials production. Vietnam has strengths and experience in construction materials production, with the total annual cement production has reached more than 90 million tons, meeting domestic consumption and export requirements.
Vietnam's cement industry had a history of more than 120 years with modern, environmentally friendly technologies. Vietnamese cement has been exported to many countries around the world.
In addition, Vietnamese enterprises have also invested in the production of high-quality, green, environmentally friendly construction materials such as: Porcelain, sanitary equipment, construction glass, tiles, ... These products have been presented in more than 40 countries and territories and have been presented in the Americas for more than 10 years.
The Minister of Construction affirmed that Vietnamese construction enterprises were capable of consulting, designing, constructing, executing, and installing equipment for industrial works, civil works, and energy works. Nghi also desired that the Government of Dominica would create conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to cooperate and join forces to implement civil works, industrial works, and energy works in Dominica.
Mr. Nghi also said that on the afternoon of November 21st (local time), the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction met with the Ministry of Housing, Environment and Works of the Dominican Republic to discuss and determine the content of cooperation and plan for the implementation of cooperation activities in the coming time between the two sides. In particular, the two sides would discuss cooperation in the field of construction materials production and promote cooperation between construction enterprises of both countries, contributing significantly to promoting comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Dominica.
