Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Vietnam

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi had a meeting and working session with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Vietnam Kohdayar Marri on August 20, 2024, in presence of leaders of units under the Ministry of Construction, officials and experts from the Pakistani Embassy in Vietnam.



Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Vietnam.

At the meeting, Ambassador Kohdayar Marri said that Pakistan and Vietnam officially established diplomatic relations on November 8, 1972. Over the past 50 years, the two countries have continuously paid attention to and promoted cooperative relations, signed many memorandums of understanding to further promote good traditional relations such as Memorandums of Understanding and Agreements.

Ambassador Kohdayar Marri highly appreciated the achievements of Vietnam's construction industry in recent year and desired to learn Vietnam's experience in the construction field to enhance its skills and construction techniques in the future.

Pakistan has abundant human resources and a team of engineers and construction architects who are working in many countries around the world, such as the Emirates, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia... In particular, the team of Pakistani construction engineers and architects always want to interact, exchange experiences and establish cooperative relationships with the team of Vietnamese engineers and architects.



Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi presented Ambassador Kohdayar Marri with an embroidered painting of Vietnam's National Flower.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi agreed with Ambassador Kohdayar Marri's proposal on strengthening exchange and cooperation between the two sides, and also commented that Vietnam and Pakistan have similarities as they are both countries in the process of development. Therefore, exchanging and sharing of experiences between the two sides in the field of construction will make an important contribution to promoting cooperation between Vietnam and Pakistan.

The Ministry of Construction will create favorable conditions for Pakistani engineers, architects, and businesses to participate in operations, investment, production, and business in Vietnam under the Vietnamese Law.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi hopes that Ambassador Kohdayar Marri and the Pakistani Embassy to Vietnam will always support and create conditions to promote cooperation between the Ministry of Construction of Vietnam and Pakistani agencies and partners, contributing to promoting the growing cooperation between Vietnam and Pakistan.
