The Investment and Trade Promotion Centre of Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction jointly held a dialogue between enterprises and city authorities on July 14 with the aim to solve obstacles in the management, operation, and use of apartment buildings in the city.

More than 100 questions of People’s Committees of districts, enterprises, and management boards of apartment buildings were raised and answered at the dialogue.
Huynh Thanh Khiet, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City, said that as of April 2023, the city had 1,635 apartment buildings with more than 2,800 apartment blocks.
Due to the large number of apartment buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, many problems related to the management and operation of such buildings have emerged. Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh City authorities wish to guide enterprises and remove difficulties for both businesses and people in the field.
Some problems of management and use of apartment buildings include the management of expenses for maintenance of shared areas of apartment buildings, the operation of apartment buildings, the rights and obligations of investors, homeowners, and management boards in the management and use of apartment buildings, the performance of service contracts, the construction and expansion within apartment buildings, and more.
