Workshop on "Building material solutions to meet green buildings with sustainable architecture"

Implementing the commitment at COP26, setting the goal of "Vietnam achieves net zero emissions by 2050", on July 29, Eurowindow Joint Stock Company cooperated with the Department of Building Materials, Department of Science, Technology and Environment under the MoC organized a workshop with the theme "Building material solutions to meet green buildings with sustainable architecture".

Recognizing the importance of buildings with sustainable architecture, the Government of Vietnam has issued many guidelines and policies specifically: Law on Environmental Protection in 2020; Decree 06/2022/ND-CP dated January 7, 2022 of the Government providing for mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions and protection of the ozone layer; National strategy on green growth for the period of 2021-2023, with a vision to 2050; National program on economical and efficient use of energy for the period of 2019-2030; Resolution No. 55-NQ/TW dated February 11, 2020 of the Politburo on "Strategic orientations for Vietnam's national energy development to 2030, with a vision to 2045"...

At the Workshop, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Sinh highly appreciated the ideas and contributions on trends and solutions for green buildings and green materials of experts, scientists, managers and businesses. On that basis, they provided in-depth analysis and assessment in the application of green material solutions in construction to create a green architecture, sustainable urban development for the community.

Mr. Nguyen Canh Hong - General Director of Eurowindow Joint Stock Company expressed that, with a reputation of 20 years of experience in the field of manufacture and trade of building materials & furniture, the unit had been continuing to choose to cooperate with input material suppliers, the world's leading prestigious partners such as: Kommerling, Giesse, Cmech... A number of mechanisms and policy proposals were made at the workshop to encourage investors and manufacturers of recyclable, green and energy-saving materials towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions green buildings; applying 4.0 technologies to the design, production and installation processes to improve productivity and product quality.

At the event, a number of businesses in the field of manufacturing and supplying building materials shared about new and advanced material solutions, which have been promoting in the development of green buildings, technology and energy efficiency program. Representatives of businesses also committed to green building development to raise people's awareness as well as the participation of ministries and sectors towards 2050 according to the Government's commitment at COP26.

Through the useful sharing of experts, interesting exchanges in the workshop, the program expected to contribute to raising the awareness of ministries, agencies, businesses and people, applying the solutions to the problem of green and modern design methods and materials, towards sustainable construction in Vietnam, from office - residential buildings, hospitals, schools and so on.
