Talks between two Ministers of Construction of Vietnam and Cuba

Minister of Vietnamese Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi had a working session with Cuban Minister of Construction on March 28^th with the presence of Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolas Hernandez Guillen; Deputy Minister of Construction Bui Hong Minh; leaders of functional departments and agencies under the MoC, and a number of Cuban and Vietnamese enterprises.

Minister Nguyen Thanh Nghi emphasized that the visiting of Cuban Minister to Vietnam as an opportunity for the two sides to exchange ideas to the signed agreements and commitments in the Minutes of the 39th meeting of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee.

The cooperation between Vietnam and Cuba in the field of construction, although facing many difficulties, the two sides still made efforts in implementing cooperation agreements between enterprises of the two countries, actively implementing cooperation agreements that previously signed. The SANVIG construction material production investment joint venture between Vietnam's Viglacera Corporation and Cuba's GEICON Group has maintained production, created many jobs for Cuban workers and stably supplied ceramic and sanitary ware products for the Cuban market; Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUD) and Construction Inspection, Equipment and Technology Consulting Company (CONINCO) have facilitated DINVAI Co., Ltd. of Cuba to participate in providing supervision consulting services for a number of projects; Cityland has intended to invest in hotel in Cuba.
