In order to resolve various urban problems arising from the rapid economic growth of Vietnam, and to secure sustainable urban development capacity, we are developing Green City indicators and a city planning decision support system, The city planning decision support system will be applied to establish the master plan of Yen Binh New Town to support the establishment of Green City planning.
In addition, the government will prepare Green City-related laws, systems and guidelines in order to provide a condition for inducing nationwide Green City planning across Vietnam, and Methodically organized implementation strategies following the conclusive revision (Mar. '15) of the Zoning Plan (for the scale of 1:2000) of Yen Binh Urban Complex of Industries, Agriculture and Services as well as change of land use plans for successful completion of Basic Plan for Thai Nguyen - Pho Yen Downtown Development by the end of 2035 are in dire need, and As an industrial center and a base for economic growth in the northern Vietnam, Yen Binh New Town requires extensive and comprehensive master plan revision for continuous development and growth. As a result of the grant aid of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), we were able to develop the master plan for Yen Binh New Town.
