PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng has approved the portfolio of a project that looks to develop Đà Nẵng city into an eco-city.
The project has a total investment capital of €16.5 million, including €1.5 million financed by the German Government. The rest is of the city’s corresponding capital.
The Đà Nẵng Municipal People’s Committee was assigned to finalize documents pertaining to the project as well as verify, ratify and implement it.
The objective of the project is to assist Đà Nẵng city in deploying effectively target programs on environment and climate through inter-sectoral coordination mechanism.
The project, which is expected to be realized within two years, consists of four elements, namely the development of a roadmap and a strategy for an environmental-friendly city; supervision, evaluation and report preparation regarding the environment; a master urban planning scheme; and research of typical examples of climate change mitigation and adaptation.
