On August 14, Deputy Minister Phan Thi My Linh received Dr. Michael Dixon, General Director of Smarter Cities, IBM Corporation of America. At the meeting, Dr. Michael Dixon reported to the process of the development of IBM Corporation.
Dr. Michael Dixon introduced the vision, strategy and operation of IBM in cities around the world, focusing on core areas such as building long-term strategies for Smarter Cities of IBM. He hoped that via Ministry of Construction to learn more about the development strategy of Vietnam's construction industry and updates about IBM's new strategy for Vietnam construction industry which promoting IT application in construction.
According to Deputy Minister Phan Thi My Linh, one of the goals of the Ministry of Construction is moving toward green building and reducing the greenhouse effect and energy consumption in building in order to build a green environment as well as building regulation standards for green building. The Ministry of Construction will continue to study the construction industry which can apply the method of IBM’s smarter cities.
